I Can Stop Explaining the Game to People!
Finally, I can stop verbally explaining to my friends how to move on to the next level! I almost want to thank them for not reading the FAQ, otherwise this wouldn't have been so high on my priorities list. Almost.
Rest assured, sound effects are happening sometime in the near future, I'm just out of ideas, lol.
I thought it would be funny for the tutorial to come in the form of a sarcastic dispatcher giving the main character the rundown of his duties as a miner. So obviously, I made an underpaid worker.
Oh yeah, and after drawing the portrait for the main character, I finally ended up redoing the character sprite. Looks less out-of-place now, but no less spudlike! I'm debating officially naming him Spud McSpuddington, but that would end up feeling super corny if I decide to keep making this game and it evolves into something that I can proudly publish as a finished product.
Also, the fix for enemies spawn camping you is here! They are now guaranteed to spawn far enough away that they won't notice the player immediately. I completely overestimated how hard that would be to fix---It took one line of code.
Anyway, hope y'all enjoy! And before you ask, you can skip the tutorial by pressing x when the dispatcher asks if you need a refresher.
