Enemies!!


Whoops! Forgot to publish this a while ago!

Well, this took longer than expected! :P

I had originally expected to take maybe an hour, reworking the code I used in Snowbattle to work for a melee-based combat system (and not fully top-down artstyle). However, I vastly underestimated how difficult balancing and bugfixing melee combat is. For one thing, your main weapon is a pickaxe, so I had to adjust the code I used to break rocks to also damage enemies. I also opted to try and code a proper health bar (my first time doing that), which surprisingly went really smoothly, but took some time as well. Finally, a good half an hour was spent figuring out why the heck my text was getting antialiased and how to turn it off. But anyway, now enemies are in the game, and it's genuinely starting to be fun, rather than just running around and hitting rocks!

Also, I can't remember when I last uploaded my changes, so there might be a couple minor bugfixes and graphical changes in there too.
